“Glaslyn Venturer”

Porthmadog – Beddgelert & Return

Travelling the southern end of the Welsh Highland Railway, offering wide vistas of the mountains before steaming through the famous Aberglaslyn Pass. Modern carriages with Perspex dividers.

Duration: Approx. 3 hours / Up to 3 days per week.

“Woodland Wanderer”

Porthmadog – Tan-y-Bwlch & Return

Heritage style service through the heart of the woodlands of the Snowdonia National Park. It is great for families and those with dogs, giving an hour break for a walk along the nature trail and refreshments at Tan-y-Bwlch Tea Room. 

Duration: Approx. 2.5 hours / Up to 6 trains per day.

PLEASE NOTE; This is a part-line experience, the train will not go through to Blaenau Ffestiniog.

“Gelert Explorer”

Caernarfon – Beddgelert & Return

Modern carriages with Perspex dividers pulled by one of our NG/G16 Beyer-Garratt locomotives, which make an impressive sight steaming across the foothills of Snowdon, twisting and turning on their way to Beddgelert. A pre-order luxury hamper service and time to explore the famous village make for a grand day-out. 

Duration: Approx. 6 hours / Up to 4 days per week.

“Mountain Prince”

Porthmadog – Dduallt & Return

Heritage style service to Dduallt, through the woodlands of the Snowdonia National Park, including a trip around the spiral, the amazing volunteer project built in the 1970s. This gives some great mountain views and takes you round in a complete circle! The train then stops at Tan-y-Bwlch on the return journey to give time for refreshments from the Tea Room. 

Duration: Approx. 3 hours / Up to 5 trains per day / Commencing September 6th.

Caernarfon – Porthmadog & Return

Starting at Caernarfon station and travelling 25 miles ‘coast to coast’ across the foothills of Snowdon to its destination at Porthmadog. This train celebrates the dedication of the volunteers who rebuilt the line, enabling you to make this journey today. Modern carriages with Perspex dividers. Pre-order ‘Collect & Go’ hamper service, with time to enjoy the station facilities and explore the town.

Duration: Approx. 7 hours / Two days a Week

Porthmadog – Caernarfon & Return

Starting at Porthmadog Harbour station and travelling 25 miles ‘coast to coast’ across the foothills of Snowdon to its destination beside the harbour and castle at Caernarfon. Modern carriages with Perspex dividers. Pre-order ‘Collect & Go’ hamper service and time to explore this historic walled town.

Porthmadog – Blaenau Ffestiniog & Return

A service along the full length of the Ffestiniog Railway – with time to explore Blaenau Ffestiniog and its impressive slate sculptures, poetry band trail and selection of privately run shops, cafes and pubs.

“The Harbourmaster – Beddgelert”

Beddgelert – Caernarfon & Return

The Harbourmaster starts its journey at Porthmadog for the full 25 mile coast to coast journey to Caernarfon. This service also picks up at Beddgelert for those staying in the village or at Forest Holidays, offering a 17 mile journey and time to explore the historic town. A pre-book picnic hamper service is available.

Duration: Approx. 5.5 hours / Two days a Week
