This journey is perfect for those looking for a short afternoon trip through the dramatic Snowdonia National Park scenery.
Beginning at our modern award-winning station at Caernarfon; which overlooks the historic Caernarfon Castle and the newly renovated Cei Llechi.
At Caernarfon Station, there will be a chance to grab a light snack or a coffee from Caffi De Winton before boarding the train, which departs at 1230.
To help you make the most of your day, we offer a pre-order picnic hamper service with freshly prepared local produce to take on board. (More details of available hampers can be found here).
The train ambles from the coast into the mountains with fantastic views across to Anglesey and further on, towards Snowdon itself.
During the journey, the landscape and scenery is ever changing as the train passes through countryside, forests and meadows, providing plenty of opportunities to capture stunning photographs of the surrounding mountains, lakes and waterfalls.
Upon arrival at Rhyd Ddu, the train will remain at the station for 30 minutes, providing plenty of time to stretch your legs, enjoy the scenery, and admire the locomotive itself.
The train departs Rhyd Ddu on a leisurely return journey to Caernarfon, arriving back at 1500.
Make sure you visit the station gift shop on your return for a memento of your day or a present for those at home.
