Come along and enjoy a three-day weekend of vintage Ffestiniog Railway trains, during which we will be showcasing significant eras of our history, with stock from our heritage collection working an intensive timetable – including passenger, gravity, slate and freight trains.
All set against a backdrop of Victorian outfits, stands, stalls and tasty refreshments, it’s going to be a good one..!
TRAINS, TRAINS, TRAINS…
This popular event, which is becoming a staple in our calendar, provides an opportunity for us all to come together to celebrate and enjoy the locomotives, carriages & waggons which have played their part in shaping the story of our historic railway.
The weekend has a whole host of highlights for visitors to look forward to including Vintage trains to Beddgelert, Victorian Trains, 1920s Trains, Goods Trains, x2 Gravity Trains on all three days, Evening Shuttles to Minffordd, multiple appearances from the Spooner’s ‘Boat’ and a Sunday morning line-up of the green engines: Prince, Merddin, Linda, Blanche, Moelwyn & Mary Ann, plus much more..!
For those who are travelling to the event by train, The Quarryman set will be coming down from Blaenau Ffestiniog on Thursday evening, connecting with the Conwy Valley TfW service.
WE’RE ALL DRESSING UP…
Although our locos and rolling stock will come from several bygone eras, during this year’s Bygones Weekend there’ll be a Victorian theme to both Harbour Station and its people.
This means that all visitors to this year’s event are very welcome to come dressed for the 1800’s rather than the 2000’s..!
A large majority of our Staff and Volunteers, who will be working across the event weekend, will also be suitably dressed in Victorian themed outfits, so you most certainly won’t be alone.
We look forward to seeing all your brilliant outfits across the three days.
