Exciting news, our exclusive limited-edition ‘Adfywiad Blanche Revival’ Whisky has arrived and ready to be launched at our upcoming ‘Extreme Steam Extravaganza’ Summer Gala!
Created exclusively for ‘The Spirit of Steam & Song’ train, this is an exceptionally limited bespoke single cask release, developed in partnership with Penderyn to help raise funds towards the planned restoration of Blanche.
The name ‘Adfywiad’, meaning ‘Revival’ in Welsh, reflects both the spirit of the project and the ambition to see Blanche returned to her former glory.
Thanks to Richard from Penderyn Llandudno Distillery for the delivery today, it was gratefully received by our Hospitality & Sales Manager; Elwyn.
The very first bottle will be officially opened on Friday, 19th of June at our Extreme Steam Extravaganza, before ‘The Spirit of Steam & Song’ departs Porthmadog Harbour Station at 15:10 on the special journey to Caernarfon.
Every passenger on this train will be invited to enjoy a complimentary tasting by a representative from Penderyn Llandudno Distillery who will also take time to provide insight into the Whisky itself.
During the interval at Caernarfon Station, the bottles will be available to purchase from the Penderyn stall, priced at £110 each with all proceeds from each sale will going towards the Blanche Restoration project.
Please note, it will be a very limited run and there is no pre-booking so the first opportunity to buy a bottle will be exclusively for passengers on ‘The Spirit of Steam & Song’ train during the interval break at Caernarfon. These will be sold on a first come first served queue basis on the Penderyn stall at Caernarfon Station. If there are any left unsold, they will then be available to buy in-person only at Caernarfon Station Shop for the general public.

Mae’r enw ‘Adfywiad’, sy’n golygu ‘Diwygiad’ yn y Gymraeg, yn adlewyrchu ysbryd y prosiect a’r uchelgais i weld Blanche yn dychwelyd i’w hen ogoniant.

Bydd y botel gyntaf un yn cael ei hagor yn swyddogol ar Ddydd Gwener, 19eg o Fehefin yn ein ‘Sioe Stêm Rhagorol’, cyn i drên ‘Ysbryd Stêm a Chân’ adael Orsaf Harbwr Porthmadog am 15:10 ar y daith arbennig i Gaernarfon.
Bydd pob teithiwr ar y trên yn cael ei wahodd i fwynhau blas am ddim gan gynrychiolydd o Ddistyllfa Penderyn Llandudno a fydd hefyd yn cymryd amser i esbonio elfennau gwahanol ynghlyn y Wisgi ei hun.
Yn ystod yr egwyl yng Ngorsaf Caernarfon, bydd y poteli ar gael i’w prynu o stondin Penderyn am £110 yr un gyda’r holl elw o bob gwerthiant yn mynd tuag at brosiect adfer Blanche.
Sylwer, bydd yn rediad cyfyngedig iawn ac nid oes bwcio ymlaen llaw felly bydd y cyfle cyntaf i brynu potel ar gyfer teithwyr yn unig ar drên ‘Ysbryd Stêm a Chân, yn ystod yr egwyl egwyl yng Nghaernarfon. Bydd y rhain yn cael eu gwerthu ar sail ciw y cyntaf i’r felin ar stondin Penderyn yng Ngorsaf Caernarfon. Os oes unrhyw rai ar ôl heb eu gwerthu, yna byddant ar gael i’w prynu’n bersonol yn unig yn Siop yr Orsaf yng Nghaernarfon i’r cyhoedd.
