We were very pleased to welcome MP Liz Saville Roberts to Harbour Station this week, where we presented her our new ‘This is Our Railway’ booklets, which have been produced bilingually and our Welsh services’ information leaflet.
Our ‘This is Our Railway’ booklets, will be handed out to visitors who show a particular interest in a particular aspect of our railway and who are keen to receive further information to take away and read in their own time.
These booklets are different to our guidebooks, they focus on the work that goes on behind the scenes and how we are supported by many different people including our Patrons, Members and Volunteers.
Our Welsh services’ information leaflet is a translation of our existing English leaflet, allowing visitors the opportunity to choose an information leaflet in either Welsh or English.
During her visit, Liz mentioned our upcoming appearance at the National Eisteddfod of Wales, where we will be taking ‘Lilla’ and Bug Boxes 1 & 12 to display at the site, with plenty of opportunities for visitors to take photos!
It’s important that our various booklets and leaflets are available bilingually to visitors, which Liz was keen to highlight.
We would like to thank Liz for her continuing support of the railway and we look forward to meeting visitors at the upcoming Eisteddfod!

Roeddem yn falch iawn o groesawu’r Aelod Seneddol Liz Saville Roberts I Orsaf yr Harbwr wythnos yma, lle cyflwynwyd ein llyfryn newydd ‘Dyma’n Rheilffordd Ni’, sydd wedi’i gynhyrchu’n ddwyieithog ac ein taflen wybodaeth gwasanaethau yn Gymraeg.
Bydd ein llyfrynnau ‘Dyma’n Rheilffordd Ni’ yn cael eu dosbarthu i ymwelwyr sy’n dangos diddordeb arbennig mewn agwedd penodol o’n rheilffordd ac sy’n awyddus i dderbyn gwybodaeth bellach i’w darllen yn eu hamser eu hunain.
Mae’r llyfrynnau hyn yn wahanol i’n tywyslyfrau, mae nhw’n canolbwyntio ar y gwaith sy’n mynd ymlaen y tu ôl i’r llenni a sut rydyn ni’n cael ein cefnogi gan nifer o wahanol bobl gan gynnwys ein Noddwyr, Aelodau a Gwirfoddolwyr.
Mae ein taflen wybodaeth gwasanaethau Cymraeg yn gyfieithiad o’n taflen Saesneg bresennol, ac felly yn rhoi cyfle i ymwelwyr ddewis thaflen wybodaeth yn y Gymraeg neu’r Saesneg.
sy’n rhoi cyfle i ymwelwyr ddarllen gwybodaeth am y rheilffordd yn y naill iaith neu’r llall.
Yn ystod ei hymweliad, soniodd Liz am ein hymddangosiad yn yr Eisteddfod Genedlaethol eleni, lle byddwn yn mynd â ‘Lilla’ a ‘Bug Boxes’ 1 a 12 i’w harddangos ar y safle, gyda digon o gyfleoedd i ymwelwyr dynnu lluniau!
Mae’n bwysig bod ein llyfrynnau a thaflenni amrywiol ar gael yn ddwyieithog i ymwelwyr, ac dyna be oedd Liz yn awyddus i dynnu sylw ato.
