Successful F&WHR staff exchange visit to the Harz Narrow Gauge Railways
From 5th to 9th October a group of 27 permanent and volunteer staff from the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways (F&WHR) made a “working” visit to our partners in Germany, the Harzer Schmalspurbahnen (HSB). As always, we were looked after admirably.

Funding received for Metropolitan carriage rebuild
London Transport Museum (LTM) has been handed more than £422,000 towards a project to restore the world's oldest known surviving example of an underground railway carriage.

The list has been produced for the Ffestiniog Railway Society 2011 book auction, an annual event to raise funds for the Ffestiniog Railway. This year, all funds raised will go to the FR Heritage Group's Waggon Tracks Appeal.
