It's time to dust off the binoculars as the male and female Ospreys have returned to their nest in Glaslyn Valley. The birds appear at almost the same time every year and have returned for the ninth year in a row.

Queen inspects Boston Lodge craftsmanship
Her Majesty The Queen today visited Baker Street Underground Station to mark the 150th anniversary of the London Underground and to examine the star of the show - Met 353, the original Metropolitan Railway carriage restored at Boston Lodge.

Glasgow Tram arrives at Boston Lodge

A double decker Glasgow tram, built in 1902, is to be restored by craftsmen at the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railway. Boston Lodge Works was selected to carry out the work following its acclaimed restoration of London Transport Museum's Metropolitan Jubilee Carriage 353.

Sample Welsh food and drink at Paddington this weekend
As part of the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railway’s celebration of 150 years of narrow gauge steam, Visit Wales is offering visitors to Paddington Station samples of Welsh food and drink, including Welsh cakes, cockles, laverbread, Jones crisps, Halen Mon salt, Yr Ardd Fadarch mushrooms, Purple Moose beers and South Caernarfon Creameries Old Shire cheese.

Come and see Princess at Paddington Station
In 1863 the Ffestiniog Railway began the use of steam locomotives built in London by George England, to haul trains of empty slate wagons from the harbour at Porthmadog to the quarries of Blaenau Ffestiniog.

New wagons arrive from South Africa
The Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway has taken delivery of six more B Wagons. The wagons originated from the Port Shepstone-Harding line in Natal and have been fully refurbished by Sandstone Heritage Trust’s wagon shop.
