We are now offering limited intermediate travel on all our Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway services, with the exception of the Woodland Wanderer service.

Available seating will be monitored by the guard. therefore when boarding a train at an intermediate station, please wait for the Guard to confirm availability and show you to some seats.  You can then pay the guard for your tickets

Please note, there are no distancing restrictions in the intermediate carriage but in other carriages people have purchased whole seating bays so this should be respected.

The intermediate carriage may also be used for return journeys between Blaenau Ffestiniog and Porthmadog & between Beddgelert and Porthmadog on days when there is more than one service.

Tickets for intermediate stations, with the exception of Waunfawr, Beddgelert and Meillionen, cannot be pre-booked.

*Please note – it is your responsibility to check train times to make sure you have suitable return plans in place.

There are a good amount of local bus services available to add flexibility to your travel plans, such as the Sherpa Bus Service.
