Important changes to our Autumn Timetable
Due to essential engineering work, Ffestiniog Railway services between November 2nd through to December 12th will run on the Welsh Highland Railway. The Ffestiniog Railway will be closed between Blaenau Ffestiniog and Porthmadog for track replacement.

However, these services will be replaced with Welsh Highland Railway services to Rhyd Ddu on selected days of the week. Times for these trains are as follows, and our website has been updated to reflect the changes.

Porthmadog 10.10 13.35
Beddgelert 10.50 14.15
Rhyd Ddu 11.20 14.45
Rhyd Ddu 11.40 15.05
Beddgelert 12.10 15.35
Porthmadog 13.00 16.15

The Welsh Highland Railway opened throughout between Porthmadog and Caernarfon in 2011. It passes through some of the finest scenery in Snowdonia, including the stunning Aberglaslyn Pass - voted the most beautiful spot in the UK by members of the National Trust.

So why not treat yourself to a new experience this Autumn? Rhyd Ddu lies at the foot of Snowdon, which is simply spectacular with a dusting of snow in the sparkling winter sunshine, and the autumn colours are a sight not to be missed as you climb towards the summit of the line.

We will be utilising Welsh Highland Railway coaching stock, therefore a full catering service will be available on board, and our attentive buffet stewards will be happy to serve you a selection of freshly cooked hot and cold food.

We look forward to seeing you!
