However, twenty years of hard work and determination has now led to the felling of many of these trees to reveal the glorious and much anticipated views of, and from, Cei Mawr. This clearing follows a 30% fell some years ago and is a combined effort between various bodies, including the National Trust and the Meirionnydd Oakwood Habitat Project. U.P.N. Tilhill was the works contractor.
So when you travel on the railway, don't miss the views of, and from, Cei Mawr as they are something special!
*The FR would like to thank Martin Duncan for all his hard work in ensuring this project was, firstly - given the green light and, secondly - went so well!
