MEP in fact-finding visit to Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways
Jill Evans, Plaid Cymru MEP for Wales, visited the Welsh Highland Railway on April 5, 2011. Jill travelled from Porthmadog to Rhyd Ddu and discussed the vital role the railway plays in supporting the local economy with General Manager Paul Lewin.

Heritage steaming ahead in North Wales

The Ffestiniog Railway Trust has been awarded a £16,700 development grant by the Heritage Lottery Fund [HLF] to develop plans to improve the visitor experience of the unique railway heritage of North Wales.
