A brand new book on the Ffestiniog Railway's history is always an exciting event and this one covers the railway from the start of the preservation era in 1955 up to the reopening to Blaenau in 1982 using rare colour photographs.

The railway was an example to the world after introducing the world's first narrow gauge steam locomotives, followed by the ground-breaking double engines introduced in Victorian times. The revival of this unique line was of immense importance and this herculean task is recorded in colour - 28 years of toil in impressive images.
