Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland wins National Tourism Award
The F&WHR has been voted the top visitor attraction in North Wales in the 2013 National Tourism Awards

The railway received the Regional Tourism Award for North Wales at a ceremony in Llandudno on Thursday November 21st. General Manager Paul Lewin and Commercial Manager Clare Britton accepted the award.

Said Lewin: "We're delighted to have received this prestigious award - it's always good to know that you’re doing something right!

"We've been working hard over the last few years to raise not only our own profile in England, Ireland and further afield, but also in North Wales itself. I believe strongly that it’s up to everyone working in the tourist sector in Wales to do their part to promote the country for the benefit of us all.

"I'd like to thank all the staff and volunteers of the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway for their dedication and our marketing team in particular for their excellent work in encouraging visitors from around the world to come and experience the best of what Wales has to offer."
