Coming Soon - The Ffestiniog Railway on TV
Two new TV shows featuring the railway are to be broadcast in the next few days.

Coast and Country is scheduled for transmission on Friday August 29 on ITV1 Wales at 2000 and features a visit to the railway by presenter Rob Shelley, who tried his hand at driving Prince.

The following Tuesday, Eddie Butler’s series Welsh Towns at War will be screened on BBC1 Wales at 2235 and looks at Porthmadog during the First World War, including the conversion of Boston Lodge to an armaments factory and interviews with relatives of the women who worked there.

Those outside Wales can see the BBC show live on Sky channel 952 or Freesat 964 and both programmes will be available to view online shortly after broadcast on iPlayer and at www.itv.com/coastandcountry
