Access To Our Temporary Caernarfon Booking Office
March 21st 2017
Work on our futuristic £2.5m Caernarfon Station is well underway and we are still OPEN for business.
Trains will still use the original station but with pedestrian access available from the far end of the platform - close to the new Booking Office.
Parking - a limited number of disabled parking spaces are available beside our new premises. There is a small car park next to Gwynedd Tyres, while the large Slate Quay carpark is just a few minutes walk away close to the castle.
Driving - Accessing our temporary Booking Office & Gift Shop is easiest along St Helen’s Road via the roundabout near Tesco - opposite the park and rugby grounds, on the A487 Pwllheli Road.
Walking - Whilst walking down to the Booking Office past the castle (shown in red) is still possible we would recommend using the footpath along Segontium Terrace - Villa Marina Italian Restaurant- and cutting over the footbridge, down onto St Helen’s Rd (shown in yellow).
If parking at the Slate Quay please follow the temporary signs that are there for your safety and guidance.
**Please keep an eye open for the temporary direction signs that are there to ease access to the Booking Office & Gift Shop. Due to the nature and fluidity of this program, ground works will be constantly moving and we hope you will watch with interest the ever-changing scene over the next 12 months**
