Autumn Gold on the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways

We have our own events lined-up and have teamed-up with local organisers too, so there really is something for everyone with wide ranging fun for families, first time visitors to the railway and regulars to the area as well as locals.

Harbour Station has undergone big changes and now is the perfect time to get involved and see first-hand the end-results of all the hard work. ...And don’t forget, with our new Spooner’s beer-garden, visitors can sit back, relax and be closer to the action than ever before – perfect for watching the trains go by or having a nice snack, lunch or evening-meal from the award winning cafe/bar.

Trailffest Half Marathon  & Ras y Cob Fun Run -  September 20th

The Trailffest Half-Marathon is one of the most scenic you could hope to run, with dramatic changes of scenery and terrain the whole way to the finish line.

The adventure starts in the rugged slate town of Blaenau Ffestiniog lying at the foot of the Moelwyn mountain range and finishes at the FR’s Harbour Station.

We are also providing a special train so friends and family of competitors can go up to watch the race start and then follow the race as it progresses along the course!

Tickets for the Friends and Family Train are available at a third of the usual price and can be purchased by phoning the ticket office on 01766 516024 and quoting code TRUN1.  Each runner may have up to three tickets at the special 'race' rate.

There will also be a series of Fun Runs - Ras y Cob, across the Cob, ranging from one to three miles for the less energetic. Extra trains will take runners to the start of each race.
